Information Stored by KeepItSafe
KeepItSafe requires very little information about an Entry. Following is a list of all of the information you can capture about each of your Entries.
Required information is indicated by an asterisk (*).
Entry (*)
Name of the person, place or thing that the Entry is about (e.g., Apple ID, company name, storage device XYZ, license key for ABC, etc.)
User ID (*)
Identifier associated with the Entry. Typically, this is a user name/ID. This cannot be left blank but it can be set to a default like ‘N/A’ or ‘none’.
Password (*)
Password associated with the Entry. This cannot be left blank but it can be set to a default like ‘N/A’ or ‘none’.
Change
System generated date and time documenting the last date the Entry was changed. It cannot be modified by the user.
Inactive
Flag to indicate whether the Entry is active or inactive. An Entry can be marked as ‘inactive’ to hide it from the Entry List. The Entry still exists and can be viewed by using the Filter function and selecting ‘Inactive’.
Notes
Free-form text box. It can be used to capture any information you want about the Entry. Examples include account numbers, PINs, change log, instructions, etc.
