Password Manager - What's New

The following new features and changes have been made to Password Manager for the 1.2.6 release:

  1. A new command has been provided in the View menu that will obscure and hide individual passwords in the Details panel.
  2. Minor usability and stability enhancements.

The following new features and changes have been made to Password Manager for the 1.2.0 release:

  1. A new preference has been provided that will automatically Hide the passwords when the system enters a sleep state.
  2. Another new preference has been provided that will ask for the Master Password before Showing the password panel after the panel has been automatically hidden by a system sleep event.
  3. Finally another new preference will ensure that the Master Password is entered before Showing the password panel after the panel has been manually hidden by yourself.
  4. Changes have been made to the password import and export functions to support UTF-8 and ASCII encoded files.
  5. Coding changes have been made to the application so that it will run in the Apple "sandbox" environment. This will provide better security for your passwords as it ensures the app will never violate our primary design goal of not making outside connections that could compromise your password security.

The following new features and changes have been made to Password Manager for the 1.1.1 release:

  1. A password dictionary has been included. This dictionary will generate over 12 billion different password phrases that can be used when setting individual site passwords.
  2. Minor coding changes to ensure Password Manager runs under future releases of Mac OS X.
  3. Changed the upper case / lower case sort used when listing password sites to ensure correct sorting.
